Exploring the Best Adventure Motorcycle Luggage

My experience with different dry bag options.

I have experience with different luggage setups during my adventure bike riding. I want to share my thoughts on two impressive options - the Kriega USA US-20 and the Mosko Moto Stinger 22 Liter. I'll cover my experiences with them, durability tests, and insights to help you make a well-informed decision for your motorcycle adventures.

Kriega USA US-20

The Kriega USA US-20 has been a reliable companion on my journeys, showcasing excellent durability and long-lasting performance. After roughly 50,000 miles of use, it has exceeded my expectations. It's been with me up and down the West Coast, through Baja California, Mexico, all the way north to Washington State. Not only did I use this on my adventure motorcycles, but I also had it strapped to a 2017 Kawasaki Z900. In another post, I will I provide a more detailed overview of this setup, including the modifications and expansions I've made, which have enhanced its functionality and convenience.

Mosko Moto Stinger 22 Liter

The Mosko Moto Stinger 22 Liter is a high-quality piece of gear that I highly recommend. It is built with thick and sturdy materials that are reminiscent of rugged marine dry bags. The bag has proven to be durable in harsh conditions and has maintained its like-new appearance while providing ample storage space. It has withstood cold and wet weather as well as scorching hot and dusty desert environments during my time in Baja. It's become my go-to bag because of it's quality alone. The backpack straps that are tucked away have been useful when traveling, leaving my bike at the airport to hop on a flight. I stuff about 3 days worth of clothes in the bag before it really starts to feel tight.

Attachments and Convenience

Both options have their advantages, but the Kriega USA US-20 has a more convenient attachment system. However, I've had issues with plastic release buckle failures with this setup. I currently use the Mosko Moto Backcountry Cinch Strap setup, which is more durable but requires more time to work with. It's worth looking into Mosko Moto's Simple Cinch Strap option, but I haven't tried it myself. On the Kreiga system, I also have 2 10 liter bags that I've used for longer trips. Mosko Moto has the Reckless setup that I'd like to get my hands on.

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, both the Kriega USA US-20 and the Mosko Moto Stinger 22 Liter are fantastic choices for adventure motorcycle luggage. When making your decision, consider your budget, style preferences, and specific needs. Whether you opt for a top box or a soft bag, these options have proven their reliability and performance, ensuring you can confidently hit the road on your next adventure.
